Find your home on the satellite map, and we will show how many panels your roof can hold and roughly what they would save you.
We send your address to Google, and your roof's location to Google and PVGIS, to look up solar data. We keep a cached copy of the roof data, refreshed at least weekly and never linked to you. See our privacy policy.
Assumptions
- Electricity at R3.44 per kWh (Eskom Homelight 60A). Municipal tariffs differ.
- 85% system efficiency from panel to plug.
- R11 to R16 per watt installed, depending on roof type, brand and installer.
- 60% to 90% of the power is used in your home as it is made. Batteries are not included.
- Roof data: Google Solar API where it covers your building, otherwise PVGIS sun data for your area. This is a guide, not a quote.
